We did it! Graduation Day, baby.
We're OUT of this school and finally done with this town. But us? We'll be friends forever.
Maine friends: you don’t want to miss this 6-week storytelling performance intensive in Portland starting April 19th, with the completely wonderful Maine Improv Studio! We’ll end with a storytelling show for friends and family. A GOOD TIME. Come tell stories with me!
Hi storytellers,
I can’t believe it’s the last episode of the season. This flew by.
Episode 10: Stories are Actually Everywhere
It's graduation day! In our season finale, I'm sharing real-world examples of how storytelling tools show up everywhere: in courtrooms, research labs, film sets, and more. It turns out being a better storyteller makes you better at a lot of things. And we say goodbye until next time. KIT!
I loved doing this episode because… well, because it was one last episode that me and Laura got to do together. And because it’s one last time I get to be in your ears… this season.
And… WE DID IT! We made it through all ten episodes together! You now have MANY of the tools you need to tell better stories, and I can’t wait to hear what you do with them.
This isn’t goodbye. I’ve got some very exciting things planned here on Substack (maybe some exclusive audio?), I’m teaching workshops and giving keynotes, I’m available for story audits, and I’m pretty sure there’s a Season 2 in our future.
If you want to keep exploring storytelling with me, make sure you’re subscribed here on Substack! It’s where I put all my course announcements, exclusive offers, and embarrassing secrets.
But for now, thank you for trusting me with your time. And more soon!

One last prompt:
Pay attention when someone else tells a story this week. At a party, on a date, whenever. See if you can spot the elements we talked about: context, stakes, change, theme. And notice how that changes how you see the story, the teller, yourself!
